About This Tool

This password generator uses your browser's built-in cryptographic random number generator to create truly random passwords. No passwords are ever stored, transmitted, or logged.

For maximum security, use passwords of at least 16 characters with all character types enabled. Use a unique password for every account and enable two-factor authentication whenever possible.

How to Generate a Strong Password

Set your desired password length and character types — uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers, and special symbols. Click generate for a cryptographically random password. The strength meter shows how resistant your password is to brute-force attacks.

What Makes a Password Strong

A strong password is long (16+ characters), random, and uses a mix of character types. The most common passwords — '123456', 'password', 'qwerty' — are cracked in less than one second. A random 16-character password with mixed characters would take billions of years to brute-force with current technology.

Every account should have a unique password. Reusing passwords means a single breach compromises all your accounts. This generator creates unique passwords that you can store in your password manager.
